TUT Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Admission requirement(s): 

The application form of TUT MBA, must be completed and supported by the following documents:

  • Students must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or a Level 8 NQF degree from a recognized university or college.
  • A 50% or higher rating in either the GMAT or GRE (Graduate Record Exam) or GAT (General Aptitude Test) at TUT MBA, Business School. The GMAT and GRE results must be at least three years old. In addition to GMAT marks, GRE marks and GAT scores will also be considered.
  •  In the private sector, government, parastatals, academic and research institutions, with a minimum of five years’ experience. 

Selection criteria: 

A comprehensive aptitude test will be administered at TUT Business School to all candidates applying for admission to the TUT MBA programme.

The 3-hour test will not be required for students who have passed the GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) or the GRE (Graduate Record Exam) within the last three years. Payment of a non-refundable fee is required

Duration: 

  • Three years is the minimum and five years is the maximum.

Presentation: 

  • Research and classes in block mode. During trimesters, compulsory lectures are offered. The Saturday classes run from 7:00 a.m. to 14:15 p.m.

Intake for the qualification:

  • January. 

Dissertation: 

  • To register for a dissertation, a student must have a proposal approved by the Faculty Committee for Postgraduate Studies.
