Graduations Office maintains graduation records in the student administration system as well as plans and executes graduation events. Throughout our careers, we have worked closely with colleagues in the Student Services and Administration division, faculties, and senior management in the university.

As your graduation ceremony coordinator, our job is to ensure that you and your guests have a memorable experience. Certificate Management Office determines which graduates will receive qualification certificates and invites them to graduation ceremonies.

​​​INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES: POSTING AND COLLECTING CERTIFICATES

  • If you cannot attend the graduation ceremony, please inform our office:
  • The penalty for not sending an email to [email protected] is R357.
  • With proof of identification, collect the certificate at Building 21-G13, Pretoria Campus (only after the ceremonies).
  • If you would like your certificate sent registered mail, please send an e-mail to [email protected]​
  • The following information must be provided if someone is collecting your certificate on your behalf:
  • Authorization letters need to be signed and include your ID number and that of the person who will pick up the certificate.
  • Identification must be presented (ID book, student card, or driver’s license).

​THE DAY OF THE GRADUATION CEREMONY

  • Arrive at the hall on time (with proof of identification, such as a letter, student card or identification card)
  • Two hours prior to the ceremony, Soshanguve South Campus.
  • A one-hour delay will be allowed on the Pretoria Campus before the ceremony begins.
  • The ceremony will begin one hour before the start of distance campuses.
  • While in the hall,
  • Student seating cards will be provided with seat numbers (stage admission and hall admission).
  • No card, no admission – guests’ cards and programs will be given out.
  • We do not sell extra guest cards or tickets for the event.
  • A candidate may have a maximum of ten (10) guests
  • For M Tech candidates, there are seven (7) guests
  • Other qualifications: Each candidate must invite three (3) guests
  • Before the ceremony begins, please sit down 30 minutes in advance.
  • Once the ceremony begins, latecomers (students or guests) will not be allowed into the hall.
  • The graduation staff can assist you if the hood color is not correct.
