Throughout the continent and the SADC region, we offer quality and challenging education geared toward meeting the employment needs of the public and private sectors. In addition to promoting entrepreneurship, we also encourage our graduates to create jobs.
TUT Faculties

Humanities
In addition to its ten academic departments, the Faculty of Humanities offers more than 60 academic programmes.
The Faculty of Applied Languages and Integrated Communication consists of six departments:
- Applied Languages
- Integrated Communications
- Journalism
- Law
- Public Management
- Safety and Security Management
- as well as the newly established School of Education.
Information and Communication Technology
We are delighted that you have chosen to study at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In order to meet the key role science and technology play in the changing environment, we offer a range of courses that produce creative, adaptable, well-trained, well-rounded graduates.
We congratulate you on choosing the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology if you are starting with a tertiary qualification. Our graduates and postgraduates are highly employable and adaptable, and we are proud of our reputation for excellence in teaching and learning.
Management Sciences
In order to develop personally, education is essential. Education can lead to a variety of career options for those who are willing to dedicate themselves to the process.
A career decision is such a complex one, which is why the Faculty of Management Sciences keeps up with the ever-changing labour market needs, opportunities, and challenges by engaging with active advisory boards and keeping in touch with industry and commerce on a regular basis.
Science
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Science, one of TUT’s leading research faculties that contributes substantially to the country’s total research output every year.
At the university, research projects are supported in part by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Water Research Commission (WRC).
The Arts
We are pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Arts. We are one of the University’s spires of excellence because our faculty blends theory with practice.
