In light of IFOW’s Annual Future of Work 4IR Dialogue in October and the UAE hosting COP28 in November, the Just Energy Transition was also discussed, particularly with respect to socioeconomic impacts.

Throughout the engagement, meaningful collaboration was identified that could lead to impactful solutions for the countries involved.

Areas of common interest for further exploration include

  • Facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices between IFOW and UAE institutions with similar mandates.
  • In order to facilitate a mutually beneficial collaboration between TUT and UAE universities, we are exploring areas of synergy between the two institutions.
  •  In order to guide the commercialization of South African technology and create new markets for the country, UAE tech companies are establishing a link with IFOW.
