There is a Senior Lecturer position available in the Department of Public Management at the Soshanguve South Campus.

Key performance areas/Core functions:

To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate should have a strong academic standing in the discipline, with demonstrated thought leadership abilities in all areas of the department’s activities: teaching, research, and community engagement.

In particular, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Undergraduate and graduate teaching
  • Designing curriculum that is relevant to the student’s needs.
  • Postgraduate student supervision
  • The Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology encourages researchers to conduct research and publish in local and international journals that are accredited
  • Promoting community engagement activities within the Department by engaging stakeholders in the local community.
  • Contributing to the Faculty and Department by serving on committees
  • A postgraduate student’s external examination
  • Collaboration with other academic institutions and participation in knowledge exchange
  • Establishing strategic partnerships and networks at the national and international level

Minimum requirements TUT Vacancy.

  1. Academic qualifications and others:
  • Doctor of Public Affairs/ Public Administration/Management (NQF level 10)
  1. Experience:
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels of at least three years
  • Supervising master’s and doctoral students successfully for over four years.
  • Accredited journal publications
  • Having a good working relationship with colleagues and the ability to work as a team.

  • Proven leadership and management skills are a requirement.
