TUT vacancy Part-Time Markers Faculty of Humanities

The Faculty of Humanities is seeking to appoint Part-time markers in the Department of Applied Languages for the following subjects: English, General Language Dynamics, Language and Translation Practice (Theory), Practical Translation in the following African Langauges: (Northern Sotho/Sepedi, Setswana, Xitsonga, IsiZulu, Tshivenḓa, Afrikaans), Analytical Reading and Writing, Research Methodology for Language, and Sociolinguistics. Candidates are advised to indicate in their applications the specific subjects for which they wish to be appointed.

Key performance areas/Core functions:

The candidate must be able to

  • provide marking in different languages and modules offered in the Language Practice programme; and
  • compile comprehensive report after each and every marking project.

Minimum requirements:

  1. Academic qualifications:
  • A completed Master’s degree in any relevant language or any equivalent relevant qualification is required.
  1. Experience:
  • Formal exposure in any language practice-related environment.
