First-year students need to specify their preference for residence accommodation on the official TUT admission application form.

Selection for these students will be based on their unconditional acceptance into a full-time academic qualification at TUT. In case there an excess of first-year applicants for residence, the faculty will prioritize based on the date of unconditional acceptance.

Residence Criteria

Returning senior students should apply for residence accommodation for the upcoming year before the end of October using the online application process. They can log in to their Student iEnabler accounts, go to Residence Application. Failing to follow this procedure might jeopardize their chances of securing residence space, and selection will adhere to the criteria outlined in the placement policy.

The criteria for returning students include maintaining a minimum academic average of 50% (55% for senior residences), not exceeding the maximum residency years allowed by TUT, registering for a minimum of two subjects, and settling all outstanding fees with TUT Student Finance.

For other students seeking residence accommodation, online applications should be submitted at the beginning of the year they require housing after completing academic registration. These applications will be considered after first-year and returning senior students are accommodated, following the same criteria and on a first-come-first-served basis.
