The department of Animal Sciences seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer. This is a permanent position based at the Pretoria Campus. TUT Senior Lecturer Department of Animal Sciences Pretoria Campus
Key Performance Areas/Core functions
- Teaching and Learning in the following disciplines of Animal Sciences:
- Poultry Production
- Monogastric Nutrition
- The preparation and development of learning and assessment materials
- The presentation of lectures, tutorial and practical on and off campus using Multi-Modal Teaching and Learning Strategies
- Research and supervision of Postgraduate Students
- Conduct field excursions and visit Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) students
- Liaise and engage with industry and other stakeholders regarding curricula, excursions and research and community engagements
- Curriculum development
- Participate in Departmental, Faculty and Institutional activities
- Responsible for administrative tasks as delegated by the department
Minimum Requirements:
 Senior Lecturer
- A relevant doctoral degree in Animal Science or equivalent qualification (NQF level 10)
- At least five years work experience in Teaching & Learning, Research, Engagements and/or industry
Lecturer
- A relevant Master’s degree in Animal Science or equivalent qualification (NQF level 9)
- At least three years work experience in Teaching & Learning, Research , Engagements and/or industry
Registration with a professional body:
- Registration with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) will be a strong recommendation
