The Faculty of Science: Adelaide Tambo School of Nursing Science has part time  Lecturer positions for day classes at the Pretoria Campus .

Critical Performance Areas

  • Preparing and Conducting Lecturers.
  • Updating study guides.
  • Developing and uploading learning content on the Learning Management System (D2L).
  • Setting, Marking and Invigilating assessments (Online and during contact).
  • General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks, uploading documents on myTUTor, reporting on student performance and remedial interventions.
  • Student consultation.
  • Participating in departmental meetings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Nursing.
  • Registration as a professional nurse with the relevant nursing and midwifery registration for the specific position.
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Nurse Educator.
  • Registratrion with the South African Nursingf Council as a moderator and as a assessor.
  • At least three years teaching and/or research experience at a Tertairy institution.
  • Proficiency in Ms Office and other computer programmes.
  • Full proficiency in English.
  • Completion of a TUT teaching and learning workshop for part-time lecturers and training in the learning management system will be compulsory.
