TUT Part-Time Lecturer X2 (Semester 2) Pretoria West Campus. The Department of Chemical, Metallurgical and, Engineering requires the services of part-time Lecturers for the following Chemical Engineering subject, paid per hour up to a maximum of 12 hours per week:

- Organic Chemistry (ORH115B)
- Physical Chemistry (PHC115B )
Minimum Requirements
- Masters/ MSc/ MTech qualification in Chemistry.
Critical performance arrears
- Lecturing of the above-named subjects.
- Standard academic duties and responsibilities.
- Evaluate students on a continuous basis as well as administer tests and assignments according to study guides.
- Community service and Industry Liaison
- Research, innovation or community involvement
- Setting, preparing and conducting lectures for the subjects.
- Marking all assessments.
- Participating in departmental meetings and subject meetings.
- General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks on IT System, uploading documents on myTUTor and compiling of subject file(s).
- Student consultation.
Knowledge and skills
- At least 1 year teaching or tutoring experience at a Tertiary Institution
- Evidence of atleast 60% success rate in previously taught module
- If applicable, Evidence to successful subject filling for previously taught subject(s) (or Evidence can be requested to be provided after the interview)
- At least 60% average in the subject(s) applied for.
- Well versed with BEng Tech-Metallurgical Engineering curriculum and GAs
- Training skills relating to the broad Engineering Spectrum
- Experience with regards to management of academic matters, quality of program, student affairs, human resources, facilities, and research projects.
- Must have experience with the ITS (entering of marks, Printing of class list)
- Registration to a Professional Body will be an advantage to be considered
