TUT Online Application Fee 2023/2024
Tshwane University of Technology was created through the merger of three Technikons: Technikon Northern Gauteng, Technikon North-West, and Technikon Pretoria.

Application Cost
Administration fee and accepted methods of payment
An application fee of R240 must accompany your application form. This fee is used to cover the cost of processing your application and is non-refundable in the event that your application is unsuccessful. The application fee can be made by direct bank deposit, electronic/Internet transfer, or postal order.

Please note that there is NO late application fee. The normal application fee is applicable to all applications for admission. Please make a copy of the proof of payment, keep the original with you, and submit the copy with your application form.
Confirmation deposit
A prospective student must pay a confirmation deposit of R500 within three weeks of receiving their acceptance letter to secure their spot in the program. The deposit, minus R240, will only be refunded if the student is unable to register for valid reasons, such as failing Grade 12.
Registration/Deposit fee upon registration
- A full refund of fees paid will only be allowed if the student no longer qualifies or has been excluded from studying.
- If a student cancels during the registration period, he or she gets 100% credit and forfeits R240 of the class deposit.
- An upfront payment of R1,500 is payable on registration in January/February and July. New students who have already paid the R500 confirmation fee will only need to pay R1,000 upon registration (see banking details below for registered students).

We understand that some students may not have the means to pay their tuition, meals, and residence fees with cash, so we have a few other options available.
