A meeting of the Convocation of the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) will take place in accordance with the University’s Statutes.

  • VENUE: Theunis Bester Hall, Building 7, Pretoria Campus
  • TIME: Registration between 08:00 and 09:50
  • Convocation meeting starts at 10:00

AGENDA

  • Confirmation of quorum
  • Reading of the notice of meeting
  • Constitution of the meeting by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal
  • Welcome Address by the Vice-Chancellor and Principal
  •  Elections for the President, Deputy President and Treasurer of the Convocation
  • Election for the Convocation representative on the Senate
  • Election of the Convocation representatives on the Institutional Forum
  • Announcement of the results of the elections by the Electoral Officer
  • Closing

Tshwane University of Technology Statute states that the Convocation consists of the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Registrar, academic staff, graduates or diplomats of the University, as well as graduates and diplomates of its predecessors (Technikon Pretoria, Technikon Northern Gauteng, and Tecknikon North West).
