TUT 2nd annual fundraising golf day in Mbombela tackles student debt

As part of its ongoing goals of reducing student debt and increasing its bursary and scholarship fund, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) will hold its annual Golf Fundraising Day on 25 May 2023.

As a major calendar event for the University and its alumni, as well as government and corporate organizations, the TUT Fundraising Golf Days has become one of the most anticipated events of the year.

Individuals, corporations, and donors can sponsor the golf days and market their products or services on the course as a way to support the event.

The Advancement and Partnerships Office (APO) Director, Dr Eric Pule, commented on the fundraising event that it was encouraging to see the extraordinary goodwill of the business and industry leaders, alumni, and the public sector supporting the University in this initiative for “our academically deserving and needy students”..”

Further, he said, the funds raised will be used to support students who need laptops, e-books, and other study materials to complete their university studies. “I am deeply grateful for the prompt response and generous contributions received by TUT, and please continue to support the University as it strives to produce graduates who are ready for the future. We should play golf to raise money for our students, Dr Pule suggested.
