Strategic goals of the Department include: improving organizational performance in all aspects of administration in accordance with established standards, meeting the needs and aspirations of key stakeholders, and providing accessible, efficient, and quality administrative support to the courts to facilitate (effective and efficient) resolution of criminal, civil, and family law disputes.; anticipating, meeting, and exceeding stakeholder needs and expectations by providing state legal services effectively and efficiently.

Application Notes
To apply for an open position, candidates should send their resumes to the address specified in the job posting. The application must include a detailed Curriculum Vitae and a completed and signed Copy of Form Z83, which can be obtained online at www.gov.za or from any Public Service Department. On the day of the interview, shortlisted candidates will have to submit certified copies of their ID documents, senior certificates, and the highest required qualifications as well as their driver’s license. A submission that does not meet these specifications will be discarded and not considered.
Foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an evaluation report from SAQA. A technical and competency assessment will be conducted on all shortlisted candidates for SMS posts. In order to apply for SMS, applicants must obtain a pre-entry certificate from the National School of Government (NSG). As part of the application process, candidates are required to submit a financial disclosure form and undergo a security clearance. Those holding dual citizenship or foreign passports must present their country of origin’s Police Clearance certificate. It is the policy of the DOJ&CD to treat all employees equally. As a result of the Employment Equity Act, 1998 (Act No: 55 of 1998), as well as relevant Human Resources Policies of the Department, it will be considered that section 195 (1) (i) of the Constitution of South Africa, 1996 (Act No: 108 of 1996) will serve as a guide to filling vacant posts. When a driver’s license is required, reasonable accommodations shall be made for people with disabilities. The only candidates who will be contacted are those who have been shortlisted.
