The Bow Seat Fellowship Grant Program 2023: Funding of up to $2,500 USD to youth leaders

For students aged 11-22 from around the world, The Bow Seat Fellowship Grant Program 2023 presents a unique opportunity to engage in creative activism regarding environmental issues. A fellowship of up to $2,500 USD is awarded to fellows to support their project, as well as mentoring and networking support.

Our Fellowship Grant Program can help you make a difference in your community if you care about environmental issues! Bow Seat is pleased to announce the launch of the Future Blue Youth Council Fellowship, an initiative developed and led by the Future Blue Youth Council to empower Bow Seat alumni to advocate for a healthy, sustainable, and equitable future.

Youth leaders who are working on projects that address environmental challenges in their local communities are eligible to apply for fellowship grants of up to $2,500 USD.

Benefits: 

• Grants of up to $2500 USD will be awarded to selected fellows to fund their environmental projects.
• Grantee networking: establishing connections with other grantees
• Youth Council mentorship and support will be provided to fellows

Application process:

Please complete the online application form if you are interested in applying.

Your application will be reviewed by the selection committee, interviews will be conducted (if necessary), and decisions will be made approximately one month after receipt.

The Bow Seat Fellowship Grant Program 2023

In evaluating applications, the following factors will be considered:

• The Fellowship Grant Program aligns with its objectives; 
• Knowledge of issues is demonstrated; 
• Approaches issues thoughtfully; 
• Demonstrates an appropriate budget and timeline in order to achieve its goals; and 
• Has the potential to have measurable effects.

Eligibility:

• Young people between the ages of 13 and 22 are welcome to apply; however, all applications must be in English.
• There may be a requirement to prove your age, identity, or eligibility.
• Applicants may submit applications individually or in groups of any size. A primary contact person must be selected by each group. 
• Each student may submit only one application. The Ocean Awareness Contest is another Bow Seat program students may submit to.
• Organizations or projects addressing environmental issues that are less than two years old
