Standard Bank Personal and Private Banking Programme 2023

The Personal and Private Banking (PPB) Credit Risk Graduate Program 2023 is now accepting applications from South African graduates. Interested graduates are invited to apply for graduate trainee positions in our Risk Management division.

Graduates receive the training and experience required in order to become skilled Credit Risk Practitioners, under the guidance and support of Senior Executives and Managers who are responsible for Risk Management.

During your rotations within the Private & Personal Banking (PPB) Risk business unit, you will acquire extensive experience in a wide range of analytical areas.

There are three main areas of focus: Decision Science, Credit Solution Engineering, and Lending portfolios (e.g., Credit Cards, Home Loans, Car Loans, and Personal Loans).

Status Check

Upon completion of rotations, you will be placed in a team of your choice as a permanent employee.

Minimum Requirements

• Learning about the Credit Lifecycle
• Participating in value adding projects
• Ad hoc reporting, insights and analytics to inform business decisions
• Collaborating with various teams
• Learning/improving coding skills
• Driving modernisation of digital credit solutions/strategies in Africa Regions
• Contributing to fraud insights and analytics
• Scorecard, capital, impairments and/or machine learning model monitoring and/or development
• Building credit strategies

Qualifications

In 2023, completed or completing postgraduate studies

The following fields are available as masters degrees or honours degrees:

• Statistics
• Pure Mathematics
• Actuarial Science
• Computer Science
• Computational and Applied Mathematics
• Econometrics & Behavioural Economics
