The Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment in the Department of Civil Engineering has a vacancy for a part-time lecturer position for the academic year of 2023.
Part-Time Lecturer Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment Department of Civil Engineering
Minimum requirements
- MTech/Master’s Degree/MEng inCivil Engineering preferably in Water Engineering.
- Basic computer skills such as Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint are a recommendation.
- Advanced presentation skills.
Experience
- At least 2 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution will be a recommendation.
- At least 5 years relatedfield of Civil Engineeringindustry (Water Engineering).
Key performance areas/Core functions:
- Lecturing and facilitation of class sessions.
- Setting and marking of all assessments.
- Participating in departmental and academic meetings.
- General administrative duties such as capturing of test and assignment marks on the ITS system and uploading documents on the Learning Management System.
- Students’ consultation.
Registration with professional body (if applicable):
- ECSA but not compulsory.
