Part-time Lecturers are needed for the following modules at the Arts Campus of the Faculty of Arts and Design:

  • Digital Design I – DGD105D
  • Digital Design II – DGD206D

Arts and Design Campus Critical Performance Areas

  • Providing training in Adobe’s Digital Design software.
  • Preparation, preparation, and delivery of lectures.
  • The setting up of theoretical and practical projects, the assessment and evaluation of these projects.
  • Visit industry and site locations.
  • Assigning and marking tests and assignments.
  • Assisting with curriculum development and departmental meetings.
  • Compilation of module files and capturing marks from tests and assignments on the IT system.
  • Management of student success rates and consultation with students.
  • Assist in the development of departmental flagship projects and committees. Arts and Design Campus

 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • The Bachelor of Technology in Interior Design or a comparable degree is required.
  • Master’s degree holders will be given preference.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in an industry related field.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience lecturing.
  • Software skills relevant to industry-related visualizations and renderings 
  • A full understanding of English is required.
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Work experience with learning management systems online.
