Part-Time Lap Technicians X5 Faculty of Humanities Soshanguve North Campus

• Civil Technology (FCI106P, FCI206P, FCI307, UBC105D and UCI105D) 1 Post
• Mechanical Technology (FMT106P, FMT206P and FMT307P) 1 Post
• Electrical Technology (FET106P, FET206P, FET307P and UEI105D) 1 Post
• Engineering Graphics and Design (FGD106P, FGD206P, FGD307P and UEG105D) 1 Post
• SP Technology (STH106P, STH206P and STH307P) 1 Post

Critical Performance Areas

• Preparation of equipment and materials for practical activities for B.Ed.
• and Diploma ACET students.
• Order equipment and materials for practical activities.
• Supervise and assist students during practical activities and conduct limited practical sessions in well-defined areas.
• Ensure the safety of students during practical activities.
• Assist academic staff with supervision of practical activities.
• Maintain the workshops laboratories and equipment.

Minimum Requirements

 Academic qualifications:

• Minimum requirements for the position should be B-Tech/Honours with specialization in the relevant subjects.
• An education degree will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and skills required:
• Occupational Health and Safety
• Laboratory Management
• SHE requirements and policies
• GLP (Good workshop Lab Practice)
• Computer literacy

Experience

• 3 years of workshop lab practical experience in relevant subjects
