Mr Tilson Manyoni appointed Chairperson of the National Advisory Council on Innovation at TUT

Currently, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Chairperson Tilson Mphathi Manyoni has been appointed as Chairman of the National Advisory Council on Innovation (NACI).
There could not be a better person to chair the National Advisory Council on Innovation (NACI) than the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande. He is also the current Chairperson of the Tshwane University of Technology Council, having extensive industry and entrepreneurship experience. A member of the Institute for the Future of Work’s Advisory Committee, he also chairs the Institute for the Future of Work’s Advisory Committee.

A crucial element of any national innovation system is the National Advisory Council on Innovation (NACI), whose main function is to advise the minister on all innovation, science, and technology-related matters. The NACI is also responsible for ensuring that the various role players in the national innovation system operate in harmony and coordinate with one another.
According to Mr Manyoni, serving as NACI Chairperson is an honor, especially in this digital and innovation era. “I strongly believe in the mission of the Council and its mandate. He expressed his enthusiasm to continue shining a spotlight on innovation with the Council team.
