The City of Johannesburg owns Johannesburg Water (SOC) Ltd. Around 5.5 million people depend on the company for water and sanitation services.
Johannesburg Water Apprenticeship Programme 2023
The Johannesburg Water Company invites unemployed youth (18 – 32 years) to apply for its 36-month Apprenticeship Programme:

Apprenticeship requirements
- Be an Unemployed Person between 18-32 years
- Have the relevant NATED N4 Qualification
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must have not participated in an Apprentice programme before.
Documents required by applicants
- Completed JTW Apprenticeship application form
- Certified copies of N4 Qualification for relevant Trade as stated above
- Certified Copy of ID (not older than 3 months)
The JW Apprenticeship Application form must be completed in its entirety by applicants to be considered. We will not consider incomplete applications.
Water Marked JW Application forms are available for download. Your application will be disqualified if you do not submit the requested documents/information.

Employment equity compliance will be a priority for Johannesburg Water’s recruitment and selection processes. There will be a preference for Indians and disabled candidates for these Apprenticeship positions.
