Annual Mbombela TUT Fundraising Golf Day a Smashing Success

Mbombela Golf Club hosted the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Mbombela Fundraising Golf Day on 25 May 2023, which saw golfers play for a good cause.
There were no hitches to the event, which was weather-friendly.

“These fundraiser golf days are extremely important for us because we get the support of government, business, industry leaders, employees, students, and alumni,” said Eric Pule, Director at the Advancement and Partnerships Office.
A total of R500 000 (five hundred thousand) was raised on the day, which will go a long way to supporting the University’s initiatives to provide assistance to people in need and to students who deserve academic support. The event was sponsored by various companies who provided prizes to mark the day’s best golfers. The best positions, closest to the pin, and longest drive were some of the prizes given away.
Students will receive the money raised to cover registration fees, laptops, and study materials necessary to complete their studies.
A deep sense of gratitude was expressed by Dr Pule for the support and sponsorship from corporations and other stakeholders.
